Natural & Homemade Dishwasher Tablets

4 Ingredient Dishwasher tablets

As part of a healthy lifestyle it’s important to take note of what we are exposed to in our environment. Nourishing our bodies with nutritious food and water is extremely beneficial and adding exercise on a regular basis can prevent many lifestyle-related diseases. However, what we don’t have control over, is the quality of the air we breathe, and toxic pollution particles in the air.

These emissions can enter our body through the air we breathe or through penetrating the skin, which, in the long term could contribute to possible health risks.

Luckily for us, this is not all doom and gloom, what we can take control of, is the quality of our environment at home. Reducing the toxins we are exposed to in our personal living spaces, allows our bodies to detox and gives them a break to get on with their daily functions (like digesting food, water and oxygen).

We can do this by reducing toxic chemicals in household products and purifying our water.

I have slowly been replacing my skincare products with natural skincare products as well as replacing our household cleaning materials with more natural household options. This week I have replaced one of the household products we use almost on a daily basis, dishwasher tablets! Not only are they poisonous if ingested, these chemicals can enter our bodies through our skin, and most dishwasher tablets also release phosphates into our water systems, which is harmful to the marine life .
