One assumption we make when we start recovery is the minute we start with recovery, it will be an easy journey.,
Like a switch that you just flip, and all of a sudden, you magically recovered.
However, from my experience, recovery came with a lot of ups and downs, a lot of emotional challenges.
In this episode, I announce the launch of my first book the Food and Mood Journal and I share essential reminders for overeating recovery.
Introducing my food and mood journal Are you sick and tired of promising yourself to stop binge eating? Do you often feel out of control with food and you don’t know why you overeat? Are your intense cravings leading to self-sabotage?
The Food and Mood Journal is the perfect tool to help you tune into the signals your body is sending you. By tracking what you eat and drink, it will help give you insight into how food affects your moods.
It’s an 8-week kick-start to mindful eating to help you identify the triggers that make you want to eat when you are not physically hungry.

Binge eating tips
Understanding that my body, understanding the way I used to treat my body.
I can’t remember how many tears I cried through just working through those beliefs about myself, the hurtful words I would say to myself,
“you are a fat pig”.
“You’re not deserving of love”
“You’re good enough to be in this world”
Those words and thoughts would run automatically through my head, day in and day out.
I had to face these thoughts I had to break through these fears. I had to break through these beliefs about myself. And unfortunately, that does not take a day, it doesn’t take a week.
From my experience, it takes between 8 and 12 weeks to build new habits in recovery.
Here are a few reminders of you are going through recovery:

- It’s okay if your body has changed this year
- Dieting and recovery, do not mix.
