Ep 70– The root chakra, body image and your relationship with food.

Using the Chakras to Boost Body Image

An unbalanced root chakra can lead to a love-hate relationship with your body.   It can become blocked when we don’t feel safe in our bodies through body shame and disordered eating thoughts.

Today I share more about how we can energetically heal our relationship with food and our bodies through the root chakra.

An unbalanced root chakra can lead to a love-hate relationship with your body.

It can become blocked when we don’t feel safe in our bodies through body shame and disordered eating thoughts.

When this chakra is underactive, it can lead to fears of not belonging and a drive towards a disordered relationship with food and your body. When the root chakra is overactive it can result in overeating and overbearing cravings. 

We create an imbalance by:

  • Creating scarcity through restricting food.
  • Food fears.
  • Or Thinking and saying mean things about our earth home (our body)

Chakra’s and body image

The root chakra controls fight or flight and we can help heal this chakra by learning to feel safe and trust your body.

Here’s how to balance your root chakra so that you can heal your relationship with your body

  • Grounding exercises, such as spending time and nature
  • Don’t restrict your meals
  • Make peace with food
